Data Analytics Business Analyst

Job Summary

To support data and analytics projects, the full-time remote Data Analytics Business Analyst will gather and document business requirements, translate them into analytical specifications, and ensure data quality and compliance while residing in North Carolina and attending onsite meetings as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery meetings to capture business objectives and reporting needs, producing comprehensive requirements artifacts
• Develop detailed functional and technical specifications for analytical solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment
• Create and execute test plans for dashboards and reports, supporting user acceptance testing and monitoring performance metrics

Required qualifications

• Vocational or Technical Training in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, with six years of experience in data analytics or data science; or an Associate's degree with five years of experience; or a Bachelor's degree with three years of experience
• Proficiency in SQL (preferably T-SQL)
• Experience with data visualization tools
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and data governance
• Familiarity with documentation tools and platforms
