Data Architect

Job Summary

To support a global enterprise's data initiatives, the contract Data Architect will work remotely to design and maintain scalable data models, develop reusable data structures, and collaborate with various teams on data governance and architecture using Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data models across enterprise domains, including dimensional models and data flows
• Develop reusable structures that support analytics, reporting, and data products while collaborating with data governance teams
• Work with business stakeholders to convert requirements into reusable data assets and participate in architecture reviews

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or data engineering
• Strong experience building dimensional data models and defining facts and dimensions
• Experience with cloud data platforms, data warehouses, and lakehouse architecture
• Strong SQL skills and experience with tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory
