Job Summary

Leading the architecture and implementation of a medallion lakehouse in Microsoft Fabric, the full-time remote Data Architect will design data ingestion pipelines, build data models, and collaborate with stakeholders to create scalable data solutions that enhance self-serve analytics across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and implementation of a medallion lakehouse, establishing layers for self-serve analytics
• Create and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines and build data models to support various analytics
• Mentor and develop a cross-functional team while collaborating with stakeholders to translate business questions into data solutions

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a highly technical data role (data engineering, data architecture, or equivalent)
• Hands-on expertise with PySpark, Python, SQL, dbt, and Microsoft Fabric or a comparable lakehouse platform
• Demonstrated experience building medallion architectures and production-grade data pipelines
• Experience creating or deploying AI-powered tools for business users, with a strong preference for familiarity with Claude or similar LLM platforms
• Growth-stage startup experience required, with a comfort in ambiguity and shifting priorities
