Data Architect
Job Summary
To lead the design and modernization of enterprise data solutions in a cloud-first environment, the contract Data Architect will work remotely, serving as a strategic advisor to business and technical teams while designing scalable Azure-based data architectures that support analytics and operational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Design and evaluate end-to-end data architectures using Azure data services and cloud-native technologies
- Partner with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to define scalable and secure data solutions
- Develop architectural standards and guide implementation teams on data modeling and performance optimization
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud architecture, or enterprise data engineering
- Strong expertise with Azure data technologies such as Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics
- Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud architecture principles
- Experience with data governance, security, and performance tuning strategies
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred; oncology experience is a plus
