Job Summary
Leading the architecture and implementation of scalable Data Lakehouse solutions on Google Cloud Platform, the full-time Principal Data Architect will collaborate with clients to translate business goals into actionable architectural plans while enforcing data governance and best practices in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of Data Lakehouse solutions using Google Cloud technologies
- Collaborate with customers to understand their data challenges and develop robust architectural blueprints
- Establish best practices for data governance, security, and quality across multiple systems
Required qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in Software Engineering and Data Platform development, with 5+ years in architecting data platforms on GCP or Databricks
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying Data Lakehouse platforms with data products
- Strong understanding of data ingestion patterns and ETL/ELT pipeline design
- Expertise in data modeling, storage optimization, and performance tuning for analytical workloads
- Experience implementing data governance and security solutions
