Data Architect

Job Summary

Owning the architecture and implementation of data platforms, the full-time remote Data Architect will design and build ingestion, lakehouse, and warehouse layers while writing pipelines and models alongside the team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage end-to-end data architecture, including ingestion, transformation, and delivery to reporting tools
• Build and deploy data pipelines, Spark and SQL transformations, and review team code
• Establish governance and access control for data platforms, ensuring consistent application throughout the architecture

Required qualifications

• Eight or more years in data engineering, with at least three years in architecture and design
• Hands-on experience with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, including delivery of platforms
• Strong skills in Spark, SQL, and Python or equivalent languages used in production data work
• Experience with Delta Lake, medallion architecture, and lakehouse patterns in production
• Working knowledge of data governance practices, including classification and access control
