Data Architect I
Job Summary
To lead the technical design for modernizing AccuWeather For Business, the full-time Data Architect I will assess legacy infrastructure, design cloud-native architecture, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliable data delivery services, working remotely or from the State College, PA headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess legacy systems and document current-state architecture to inform modernization efforts
- Design cloud-native architecture and produce necessary documentation for implementation
- Develop a roadmap for transitioning to the new architecture while ensuring continuity of critical services
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or MS with 3+ years of experience
- High-level knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud-native architecture
- Experience assessing legacy systems and designing modern architectures
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including data modeling and query development
- Advanced skills in Python or Go for developing production-quality code
