Data Architecture Technical Principal

Job Summary

To support the growth of GM Insurance, the full-time remote Data Architecture Technical Principal will define and scale the data architecture, establish standards for trusted data products, and enable self-service analytics and AI capabilities across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Define the target-state data architecture and ensure data is transformed and organized for analytics and reporting
• Plan and maintain the data architecture for data warehouses and marts while enabling metric and KPI standardization
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to evaluate and integrate new data management technologies

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in defining and delivering modern enterprise data architecture at scale
• Hands-on experience in information architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing solutions
• Expert SQL skills, with preferred experience in Databricks SQL and query optimization
• Experience with major cloud platforms, preferably Azure and Databricks
• Strong business acumen in the auto insurance industry, including understanding of insurance operations and customer lifecycle
