Data Automation Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting data automation tasks in a remote contract role, the Data Automation Engineer will translate business requirements into data engineering solutions, develop high-performing data pipelines, and ensure data quality and security using Azure cloud services.
Key responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into data engineering and AI solutions for Azure cloud-based data lakes and platforms
- Develop and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Azure services, including Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, analyzing performance metrics to enhance efficiency and reliability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in data automation or cloud data platforms
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or PySpark
- Experience designing and building ETL/data engineering solutions using Azure services
- Familiarity with Microsoft database and business intelligence tools, including SQL Server and Power BI
