Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Data Center Acoustician, the successful candidate will act as the Subject Matter Expert for sound control in mission-critical infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams on site design, regulatory evaluations, and acoustic risk management.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in site selection and due diligence as the acoustic SME, guiding design to minimize environmental noise impacts
- Evaluate noise models and reports to ensure compliance with zoning laws and recommend mitigation strategies for high-risk sites
- Design standard sound attenuation products and maintain program documentation, including modeling standards and vendor requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in acoustic modeling
- Strong understanding of sound-attenuation systems for large-scale cooling and diesel generator equipment
- Knowledge of compliance requirements for relevant codes and standards
- Familiarity with CadnaA or SoundPLAN
