Data Center Modeling Technician

Job Summary

To support a growing data center infrastructure team, the full-time Data Center Modeling Technician will learn to document and manage fiber assets, ensure data integrity, and assist in modeling support while working remotely with a focus on digital twin creation.

Key responsibilities

• Document, edit, and manage Inside Plant (ISP) fiber assets within data centers and Points-of-Presence (POPs)
• Review engineering diagrams and translate physical information into accurate digital records using specialized software
• Assist senior specialists in ensuring data accuracy and resolving discrepancies between physical infrastructure and its digital representation

Required qualifications

• Foundational knowledge or proven interest in telecommunications, networking principles, or fiber optic technology
• Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills when working with data
• Proficiency with Google suite, particularly Sheets, and ability to learn new software platforms quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical information
• Understanding of the importance of clear process documentation and technical guides
