Data Center Network Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Data Center Network Consulting Engineer will manage and support standalone data center environments, participate in network transformation projects, and develop network automation solutions using tools like Ansible and Python.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support traditional three-tier data center architectures
• Participate in migrating legacy environments to VXLAN fabric architectures
• Develop and implement network automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency

Required qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with VXLAN technologies and data center networking
• Experience supporting Cisco Nexus platforms (5K, 6K, 7K, 9K) and NX-OS environments
• Practical automation experience using Ansible and Python in production settings
• Familiarity with Jenkins Pipeline and GitHub for network automation
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work independently
