Job Summary
Managing daily operational activities, the full-time Data Center Support Manager will oversee the support engineering team, ensuring customer incidents and change requests are addressed within SLA and maintaining regular operations status meetings with select accounts, while working remotely with occasional onsite support in Downers Grove, IL.
Key responsibilities
- Directly manage the support engineering team and ensure timely resolution of customer incidents and change requests
- Serve as the primary escalation point for customers and engineers, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Oversee staffing levels, new customer onboarding, and mentor engineers to foster team development
Required qualifications
- Previous technical management experience, preferably within a Managed Service organization
- Technical knowledge in data center technologies
- Ability to analyze production and customer metrics to enhance staff performance and customer loyalty
- Experience in reviewing and monitoring team financials to achieve company targets
- Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance for travel between locations
