Data Center Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Center Technician II.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in installing, moving, and decommissioning hardware in the Data Center
• Confirm and label devices, racks, and cables
• Utilize a standard ticketing system for customer communications and follow established procedures

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with 2 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience
• Ability to respond to on-call requests within 1 hour
• Experience with CAT5e and CAT6 copper cables and fiber optics
• Knowledge of Data Center best practices and infrastructure
• Ability to operate material handling equipment if certified
