Data Center Technician
Job Summary
Responsible for advanced hardware diagnostics and operational support, the full-time Data Center Technician will perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers and networking equipment in a data center environment, while serving as a technical escalation point for complex incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and decommissioning of servers and networking equipment
- Serve as a Level 2 escalation resource for unresolved technical incidents and analyze logs to identify root causes
- Support rack integration, cabling, and inventory management while ensuring compliance with data center standards
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise data center environments
- Strong understanding of server hardware, storage systems, and networking technologies
- Experience troubleshooting hardware failures and performing component-level repairs
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and change control processes
