Data Center Technician

Job Summary

Supporting the installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure, the full-time Data Center Technician will execute rack-and-stack activities, structured cabling installations, and equipment provisioning while working primarily onsite in Plano, TX, with a remote option available within Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage equipment according to engineering designs
• Install, route, and terminate copper and fiber cabling while ensuring adherence to quality standards
• Perform equipment provisioning and basic testing activities, maintaining accurate installation records and documentation

Required qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure support
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, networking equipment, and power distribution systems
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices and basic optical networking concepts
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation activities with minimal supervision
