Job Summary
Supporting the installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure, the full-time Data Center Technician will independently execute rack-and-stack activities, structured cabling installations, and equipment provisioning while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, with the option for remote work within Texas.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage equipment according to engineering designs
- Install, route, and terminate copper and fiber cabling while maintaining proper labeling and cable management
- Perform equipment provisioning and basic testing activities, including continuity testing and standard equipment turn-up procedures
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience required
- 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure support
- Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, and networking equipment
- Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices and basic optical networking concepts
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and installation documentation
