Job Summary
Supporting the installation and maintenance of infrastructure within data center environments, the full-time Data Center Technician will independently execute rack-and-stack activities, structured cabling installations, and equipment provisioning, primarily onsite in Plano, TX, with a remote option available within Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage equipment according to engineering designs
- Install, route, and terminate copper and fiber cabling while ensuring proper labeling and cable management
- Perform equipment provisioning, testing, and maintenance activities, including moves, adds, changes, and disconnects (MACD)
Required qualifications
- High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience required
- 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure support
- Working knowledge of data center hardware, networking equipment, and power distribution systems
- Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices and installation standards
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and installation documentation
