Data Center Technician

Job Summary

Supporting the installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in data center environments, the full-time Data Center Technician will execute rack-and-stack activities, structured cabling installations, and equipment provisioning, primarily onsite in Plano, TX, with a remote option available within Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage equipment according to engineering designs
• Install, route, and dress copper and fiber cabling, ensuring proper labeling and adherence to quality standards
• Perform equipment provisioning and basic testing activities, maintaining accurate installation records and documentation

Required qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience required
• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure support
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, networking equipment, and power distribution systems
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices and installation standards
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and installation documentation
