Data Center Technician

Job Summary

Supporting the installation and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data centers, the full-time Data Center Technician will independently execute rack-and-stack activities, structured cabling installations, and equipment provisioning, primarily onsite in Plano, TX, with a remote option available within Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, and storage equipment according to engineering designs
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling while ensuring quality standards are met
• Perform equipment provisioning, testing, and maintenance activities, including moves, adds, changes, and disconnects

Required qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience required
• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure support
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, networking equipment, and power distribution systems
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices and basic optical networking concepts
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and installation documentation
