Data Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Data Consultant will perform ongoing and ad hoc research and analysis to support business performance insights, data anomalies, and future claims projections within the Actuarial Data Analytics team.
Key responsibilities
- Summarize findings and collaborate with business contacts to develop effective product and process solutions
- Support the development and maintenance of a database for past claims to assist in determining premium rates for health insurance products
- Analyze large datasets to identify drivers of business and industry trends while ensuring accurate and timely completion of ad hoc data requests
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or research discipline
- At least 2 years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or a similar field
- Proficiency in SQL and SAS; Python experience is valued
- Experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance efficiency and insights
- Strong analytical thinking and curiosity with the ability to communicate data-driven findings effectively
