Data Conversion Specialist
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Data Conversion Specialist to work remotely, who will design, develop, and execute data conversion processes primarily using SQL Server, ensuring accurate migration from legacy systems to Octave's OnCall Records system.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze legacy system data structures and create detailed mapping documentation for data conversion
- Write and optimize SQL Server scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), while conducting testing and troubleshooting
- Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness, while effectively communicating with customers regarding progress and expectations
Required qualifications
- Proven experience with SQL Server, including T-SQL scripting and performance tuning
- Strong understanding of data conversion, migration, and ETL processes
- Familiarity with Records Management systems and their data structures
- Excellent customer communication skills and ability to manage expectations
- Strong documentation skills for mapping and process workflows
