Job Summary
To support drug discovery efforts, the contract Research Associate - Data Curation will conduct in-depth research and data curation from scientific literature and patents, focusing on interpreting chemical structures and biological data in a fully remote capacity for candidates based in North America or Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research, curation, and interpretation of scientific data from drug discovery-related literature
- Maintain high levels of rigor and accuracy in data curation and analysis, including database construction
- Interpret chemical structures and biological data to surface key insights for readers
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. (or equivalent) in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or chemical biology
- 3-5 years of experience focused on data curation, preferably in biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies
- Strong track record in data curation with an understanding of patent processes and databases
- Ability to interpret chemical structures and biological data, with familiarity in ChemDraw or similar software
- Experience using spreadsheets and familiarity with scientific databases and chemoinformatics resources
