Data Discovery Engineer

Job Summary

To support data governance and enhance data accessibility, the full-time remote Data Discovery Engineer will partner with data stewards and business leaders, manage data cataloging efforts, and promote data literacy initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with data stewards and governance teams to ensure data is well-defined and properly cataloged
• Act as a liaison between technical and business teams, translating data needs into cataloging and governance priorities
• Build and maintain a trusted data catalog, ensuring metadata standards and data accuracy align with business processes

Required qualifications:

• Experience with data governance frameworks and metadata management
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to document complex business processes
• Familiarity with enterprise data catalog tools and metadata management platforms
• Previous experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data management roles
• Exposure to AI-driven query generation and intelligent search solutions
