Data Engagement Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Portals Engagement and Data Specialist will manage client relationships, structure and visualize data, and create content for a data management platform, with a preference for candidates located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area while working remotely within the Continental US.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with government users and stakeholders, providing briefings and identifying information-sharing initiatives
• Lead data formatting and structuring efforts, building unified datasets from disparate data sources
• Create innovative data visualizations and web-based content to help clients achieve their missions

Required qualifications

• US citizen
• Advanced scripting skills for data cleaning (Python, Javascript, R, or similar)
• 0-2 years of experience with data management and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau Prep, SQL)
• Experience in data science and/or visualization
• Client-side experience, including meeting documentation and follow-up planning
