Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs in enhancing data automation and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy automated data pipelines and maintain integrations between various Microsoft platforms and external systems
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, implementing standardized data mapping and validation logic
• Design and optimize Power BI dashboards and reporting frameworks to support leadership-facing analytics

Required Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in data engineering or a related technical role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Dataverse, Power BI, Power Apps, and/or Power Automate
• Experience designing and supporting data integrations and automated data pipelines
• Experience working with relational data models and schema design
