Data Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance existing data infrastructure, the contract Data Engineer will work remotely, focusing on troubleshooting and improving data pipelines, implementing ETL solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the development of a safety AI virtual assistant application.

Key responsibilities

• Work on existing data pipelines, addressing and resolving errors related to Smartsheet and Redshift
• Implement improvements and optimizations to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability of the data architecture
• Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines using AWS services to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience, including data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with AWS technologies, specifically AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and Step Function
• Proficiency in Python, including the ability to read, write, and debug code following best practices
• Strong experience with SQL
• Experience with AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) to manage code for ETL processes
