Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support data-driven initiatives, the contract Data Engineer will work remotely to optimize data architecture, analyze databases, and build processes for data transformation and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements
• Perform complex data analysis and provide recommendations based on customer requests
• Build processes supporting data transformation, metadata management, and workload management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or an Associate's degree with two years of relevant experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Globus platform and data analysis techniques
• Strong knowledge of SQL and ETL processes
• Experience with GCP Compute Engine and GCP Cloud Storage
• Strong Linux administration skills, including shell scripting (Bash)
