Data Engineer

Job Summary

Building and maintaining the data infrastructure for a cloud-based case management system, the remote Data Engineer will develop data marts, optimize data workflows, and support data integration for a major federal financial regulatory agency.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data marts, materialized views, and data pipelines within an AWS Aurora PostgreSQL environment
• Design and optimize data workflows that support analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making
• Monitor data pipeline health and troubleshoot performance and data quality issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Experience building and maintaining data marts, materialized views, or ETL/ELT pipelines
• Familiarity with AWS data services and cloud-based data infrastructure
• Understanding of data security and governance in federal or regulated environments is a plus
