Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support data platform modernization efforts, the full-time Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations using modern ELT practices
• Participate in incident response and operational support activities, including off-hours coverage for critical issues
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver effective data solutions

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or a related data-focused role
• Experience with modern data platforms and tools such as dbt, Amazon RDS, and PostgreSQL; Snowflake experience preferred
• Strong SQL skills with experience in developing data transformations and models
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and proficiency in Python or a similar programming language
• Understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and relational databases
