Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support school operations, the full-time remote Data Engineer will build and maintain integrations, automate data workflows, and ensure data accuracy and availability across educational platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom integrations and ETL processes between K-12 data and internal/external systems
• Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot data flow issues, perform quality assurance on downstream data, and maintain technical documentation

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related role
• Hands-on experience with Student Information Systems or K-12 platforms, including APIs and data management
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT tools
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SFTP, and data quality assurance practices
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and educational data
