Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Data Engineer, the successful candidate will architect and build Overflow's data infrastructure, ensuring reliable access to metrics for various teams while collaborating closely with engineering and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop core data infrastructure, including pipelines, warehouses, and data models
• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to deliver clean, reliable data across the platform
• Establish data governance and quality frameworks to ensure data accuracy and trustworthiness

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience, preferably as a lead Data Engineer in a tech, fintech, or SaaS environment
• Proven ability to design efficient OLAP schemas for complex financial transactions
• Strong proficiency with AWS data services and Change Data Capture pipelines
• Familiarity with NoSQL and relational SQL databases
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical data models and collaborate with cross-functional teams
