Data Engineer

Job Summary

Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S., the full-time Data Engineer will review source to target documents, create testing scripts for data validation in the National Data Warehouse, and collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure data integrity and alignment with departmental objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review source to target documents and create testing scripts to validate data loading processes
• Execute planned testing, document results, and track defects while summarizing findings for recommendations
• Collaborate with IT operational leaders and business teams to discuss functional design concepts and ensure alignment with objectives

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, or a related field
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Databricks, or Microsoft Azure
• Proficiency in SQL, Scala, and Python
• Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau
• Familiarity with GitHub and Delta Lake
