Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support data modernization efforts, the full-time remote Data Engineer will manage legacy data platform support, design cloud data pipelines using Azure and Databricks, and ensure data quality and governance across systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading while troubleshooting data issues
• Design and develop data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and build scalable transformations with Databricks
• Implement data validation and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy and consistency during migration

Required qualifications

• 4-8+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing
• Strong SQL skills (T-SQL and/or Spark SQL) and hands-on experience with SSIS and SQL Server
• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar tools and Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star schema and fact/dimension modeling
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
