Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of customer-facing reports and data models, the full-time remote Data Engineer will build and maintain data transformations, manage data ingestion, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable analytics for the Skimmer product.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data models and transformations for reporting, utilizing tools like Fivetran, dbt, and Sigma Computing
• Develop data transformations in Python and SQL against a Snowflake data warehouse while managing data ingestion processes
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to create effective reporting experiences based on customer needs

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in data engineering with ownership of data infrastructure end to end
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake
• Proficiency in Python for data transformation and automation
• Experience with managed ingestion and transformation tools like Fivetran or dbt
• Hands-on experience building data models and reports in a BI/analytics platform, ideally Sigma Computing
