Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a passionate Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer for a full-time remote position, responsible for designing scalable data architecture, optimizing data platforms for election cycles, and leading cross-system projects to enhance voter outreach strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Shape pipelines and integrations for the RCT platform and foundational voter datasets
• Extend and optimize the data platform for cost, runtime, and reliability during elections
• Lead multi-system projects, ensuring quality through testing and mentoring team members

Required qualifications

• 3-6+ years of experience in designing and operating production data pipelines
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in cloud data warehouses and orchestration frameworks
• Proven track record of leading technical work across multiple systems
• Ability to document and explain complex systems to non-engineers
• Commitment to progressive politics and comfort operating on a political calendar
