Data Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, the full-time remote Data Engineer will utilize tools such as Python, Apache Spark, and AWS services to deliver high-quality data solutions for federal clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using modern data engineering practices
• Develop and optimize AWS-native data platforms, ensuring compliance with security standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to define requirements and deliver data solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related domains
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark (PySpark), Python, SQL (PostgreSQL), and dbt
• Experience designing and maintaining AWS-native data platforms using services like AWS Glue and Amazon EMR
• Familiarity with modern data lake technologies and data formats such as Apache Iceberg, Parquet, and Avro
