Data Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting a key long-term federal government client program, the full-time remote Data Engineer will design and implement dimensional models in SQL Server, optimize data operations, and develop ETL code to meet technical specifications and business requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement star schema dimensional models in SQL Server for business intelligence and analytics
- Write and optimize scripts for data operations, including table creation and indexing strategies
- Provide business analysis and develop ETL code to fulfill technical specifications and business requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field
- 5 years of experience designing conceptual, physical, and logical data models using enterprise data modeling tools
- 5 years of experience with strategic data planning, governance, and standards
- 5 years of experience integrating systems with big data/data lake repositories using ETL tools
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, and data mining & warehousing
