Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a global business, the full-time remote Data Engineer will design, build, and improve data solutions, focusing on developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and datasets primarily in Databricks.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and datasets using Python, Spark, and SQL in Databricks
- Develop and support batch and streaming data architectures for reporting, analytics, and AI/ML workloads
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing data integration processes for performance, reliability, and data latency
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, including Python, Spark, and Delta Lake
- Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure; Microsoft Fabric is a plus
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools in the engineering workflow
