Data Engineer
Job Summary
Focused on developing high-volume data processing pipelines, the full-time remote Data Engineer II will design and implement data workflows using technologies such as Redshift, Athena, and Spark while ensuring data quality and supporting data scientists and analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high volume data processing pipelines across various platforms including Redshift, Athena, Iceberg, Spark, and Airflow
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and data quality checks to ensure pipeline reliability and data accuracy
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions for new data platform initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering
- Expertise in SQL, databases (MySQL / Redshift / Athena), and data modeling
- Experience working with workflow orchestrators such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect
- Proficiency in Python and experience with high volume distributed data processing in Spark
