Data Engineer
Job Summary
Building and maintaining data pipelines for AI-driven information discovery, the remote Data Engineer will focus on onboarding new data sources, implementing semantic search tooling, and ensuring compliance with federal security requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines for the SEC's Enterprise Data Platform, supporting NLQ and semantic search capabilities
- Ingest, transform, and deliver XBRL and SEC financial filing datasets while managing metadata and data quality validation
- Monitor pipeline health and resolve data integration issues across environments, ensuring compliance with federal standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Hands-on experience building enterprise data pipelines in regulated or federal environments
- Strong SQL proficiency with experience in PostgreSQL or similar databases
- Proficiency in Python for pipeline development and automation
- Experience with AWS data services, including Athena, Glue, and Lambda
