Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Department of Veterans Affairs, the remote Data Engineer will develop and maintain automated data pipelines, enhance data quality and interoperability, and design API-driven workflows, ensuring operational readiness and effective data management.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using Python, SQL, Databricks, and APIs
- Design API-driven workflow automations to translate complex business processes into scalable technical solutions
- Build analytics-ready datasets to support predictive analytics and enable BI and visualization capabilities
Required qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical role
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience developing data engineering solutions using Python, SQL, and modern data lake architectures
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analysis, and machine learning
- Experience with API integrations and data validation logic
