Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a long-term contract engagement with a healthcare system, the remote Data Engineer will develop and maintain enterprise data pipelines, optimize ETL processes, and ensure the reliability of data flows while working MST hours and traveling once a month to Albuquerque, NM.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL-based ETL processes and data transformations across various platforms including DB2 and AWS
- Define enterprise data engineering architecture and technology standards while leading workload rationalization efforts
- Monitor pipeline health, resolve data quality issues, and support environment management for production readiness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- 8+ years of data engineering experience with expertise in enterprise ETL/ELT architecture and pipeline design
- Expert-level SQL proficiency in IBM DB2 and SQL Server, including complex schema design and stored procedure management
- Deep expertise in IBM DataStage and IBM Workload Scheduler, including job stream design and production operations
- Proven AWS data engineering experience with services such as S3, Glue, RDS, and Redshift
