Data Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the growth of a data platform, the full-time Data Engineer will build, maintain, and improve data pipelines and models while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a shared office space or remotely within a Portuguese time zone-friendly location.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Support data ingestion from internal and external sources and ensure data quality through validation and monitoring
- Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to understand data requirements and contribute to documentation of the data platform
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role
- Strong SQL skills and experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Basic understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data modeling concepts
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Google BigQuery preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable)
