Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support data-driven initiatives, the contract Data Engineer will design and implement secure APIs, develop responsive web applications, and architect high-performance ETL pipelines, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and low-latency data services using Python and AWS services
- Build and maintain responsive web applications utilizing React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Architect and maintain high-performance ETL pipelines with tools like pySpark and AWS Glue, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver scalable data solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Proficiency in Python, Advanced SQL, and experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React
- Experience with Apache Spark, AWS Glue, and ETL pipeline design
- Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB
- Knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, EC2, and CloudWatch, along with DevOps tools like Jenkins and Docker
