Data Engineer and Backend Developer

Job Summary

Contributing to a high-impact, fully remote project, the Data Engineer and Backend Developer will support a large-scale migration from a legacy data platform to a modern cloud-based architecture, focusing on building scalable data pipelines and enhancing backend services using Java.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the migration from a legacy data platform to a modern, cloud-based architecture
• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using ETL processes and modern data tools
• Develop and enhance backend services and APIs in a cloud-native AWS environment

Required qualifications

• Experience levels ranging from Senior to Principal in Data Engineering, Backend Engineering, and Full Stack development
• Strong proficiency in Java and backend system development
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-based architectures
• Strong experience with Snowflake and PostgreSQL databases
• Proven background in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and large-scale data systems
