Data Engineer/ETL Developer

Job Summary

To support the Department of the Navy's data initiatives, the full-time Data Engineer/ETL Developer will design and optimize data pipelines and architectures, utilizing cloud-native technologies in a hybrid work environment with on-site requirements approximately once a week.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL mappings and data architectures within the AWS Gov Cloud ecosystem
• Build and maintain scalable data workflows using Informatica and Databricks
• Author and optimize advanced SQL and Python scripts for data manipulation and migration

Required qualifications

• Proven experience with modern data engineering methodologies and cloud-based frameworks
• Strong technical proficiency in Informatica and Databricks for ETL/ELT pipeline orchestration
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud-native storage, compute, and analytics services
• Mastery of SQL and proficiency in data analysis techniques, including MS Excel
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API development and secure data exchange protocols
