Data Engineer I

Job Summary

Supporting data conversions and hygiene, the full-time Data Engineer I will perform data manipulation, editing, and transformation tasks while working remotely to maintain the accuracy of critical nonprofit datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Run and monitor recurring data update and ingestion jobs
• Perform basic data editing, formatting, and normalization in SQL-based workflows
• Assist in data validation, anomaly tracking, and issue escalation

Required qualifications

• Foundational understanding of data formats and transformations
• Ability to manipulate and edit structured datasets using SQL or spreadsheet tools
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and cleanliness
• Strong willingness to learn data tools and internal processes
• Experience in the nonprofit or political campaign space preferred
