Data Engineer I
Job Summary
To support the healthcare system's data needs, the full-time remote Data Engineer I will design and develop data-centric applications, build scalable data pipelines, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Automate and monitor batch/streaming ELT/ETL pipelines to ensure data accuracy and freshness
- Perform root-cause analyses on failures and optimize Snowflake performance and spend
- Document procedures and provide reliable on-call support while partnering with product and analytics teams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of related experience with Snowflake, CTRL-M, and ADF
- Strong SQL skills along with hands-on experience in Python and shell scripting on Linux
- Experience with cloud computing and data warehousing on relational platforms
- Solid understanding of OLAP/dimensional modeling and RDBMS fundamentals
