Data Engineer II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Engineer II.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for semantic model development, optimization, and governance
• Lead the design and implementation of tabular models and Power BI datasets for reporting needs
• Collaborate with business users to translate reporting requirements into performant data models

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent experience
• 5-8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or BI development roles
• Hands-on experience with semantic model development (Power BI, SSAS Tabular / Analysis Services)
• Deep understanding of DAX and strong SQL and T-SQL skills
• Experience with source control and deployment strategies for Power BI datasets and reports
